Back to School Supplies for Second Grade

Dear Soon to Be Second Graders,

Before you know it, second grade will begin. Second Grade is all about teamwork.

In Social Studies, we will learn about others and how they made a difference in our lives. We will "travel" to other lands and learn about different customs and traditions all over the world. In addition to math and reading, we are excited about Science too! We will investigate the weather, study endangered animals, and even plant tulips! Over the summer, make sure you read and practice your math facts.

In the fall, you'll need a large bookbag and pencil box with pencils, crayons (we don't usually use markers) and erasers that fit inside. Please don't buy three-ringbinders or Trapper Keepers. We'll provide you with the folders that you need.

It's going to be a great year, we can't wait to meet you!
